I have only just installed this but it is solid. Its well made and good quality, have done a few pullups to test it out and it doesnt move or flex in the slightest so am very happy with the purchase. It really does feel like a quality bit of kit. There are some safety precautions in a booklet which are worth noting so read the booklet.

Keep reading I have an update!Let me explain: it is a very sturdy bar but it has downsides. Firstly, being sold by amazon I was expecting a fast delivery. It took 20 days to arrive… no comment.Secondly the installation is not as easy as you think, you need to fiddle a bit with the parts in order to have it properly installed. Finally, the edges that block the length of the bar (the quick release) take too much space off the bar, in a way that finally you are exercising almost in the middle. At least 15 cm at every end of the bar is useless.——————————This is why I changed the stars judgment of this article.I wrote this review after two months having bought the bar (I completely forgot it). After only one day a very nice person from UMI contacted me saying that she was terribly sorry for my customer experience. She tried to explain that they are not in charge of delivery and therefore it wasn’t their fault but also she was very concerned about the fact that I wasn’t enjoying the bar. In the same email, and without many turn around, she asked me to accept a refund and in exchange of sharing my experience with the community. Therefore, the product is very sturdy, beautifully engineered and you will be more than happy if you have quite wide doors. My doors are standard, 85cm, and I cannot take advantage of all the product. Apart from that it’s a great bar.

The best pull up bar. I recommend.

Bought this for my son in law. He’s very happy with it and uses it daily. It’s very sturdy and can take his full body weight while he’s doing his pull-ups.

My son is very happy trained of this. I recommend.

Took me maybe 2 or 3 times to secure it before it was really secure. Make sure that when you first install it that you give it a couple of test goes before really committing to to pull ups. It’s been a month since installing and all is fine

Kixkibg myself for not buying this when it was cheaper, but I’m still glad I invested in it. I installed it in the kitchen door frame and we use it every day, for pull up practice, deadhangs and just really enjoyable stretches.I found the grip pads kind of useless and the bar crazy slippery, so I’ve wound bike handlebar tape around it and that does the trick very nicely.

En los extremos tiene unas gomas para proteger la pared o la puerta. Tiene un buen ancho. Tiene unas alfombrillas para apoyar las manos que dan comodidad y se pueden quitar para lavarlas.Lleva extras de seguridad. Buena compra.

Easy to assemble once we’d worked out the diagram. Fits the door frame well and is still there after multiple uses so appears sturdy enough.

Really impressed with this bar. Its a little fiddly to put up but not difficult at all. It isvery stable and holds my weight easily buti tighten it regularly just in case. It can hold 100kg -200kg i think.

Nice and sturdy product. Just make sure your door frame is strong enough to take the force of the bar when extended. Also would be nice if the overall grip width/ max width hand position measurement could be provided. Would be nice if that were included in the product description. It might not be wide enough for some. Overall a good sturdy product and happy with it so far.

I was a bit skeptical about getting this bar. I expected it to fail and to end up with both a broken tail bone and broken nose, I am pleased to say that has not happened to me… yet! In fact this fits very securely across my flat door frames. The bar leaves minor marks on the frame however you cannot see these unless you are really looking for them. The gripping pads are not very good but replacements or gloves can be sought, or just do away with them all together.
Amazon Customer –
I think this was a perfect choice. I received it today, installation was relatively easy. The bar feels very solid and the mechanism very safe as the pressure is spread horizontally. I chose this product, as most other constructions require too much space on the door frame and a lot of the simpler constructions just don’t feel very safe as they don’t have this mechanism that spreads the force to the side – I still need my teeth for a couple of years after all.

The bar is great, sturdy etc. Safe. But the grips are horrible, to a point where I removed them within two days.Still great without the grips but if the grips were better this would be a 5 star review

Great bar. Not quite as easy to put up and take down as you’d think. Once it’s in place it’s completely solid though. Only tiny gripe is the grip is a little narrow for me. I feel like I want my hands a bit wider. Apart from that it’s prefect for what it is.

First, it’s worth noting that if you pay more, there’s a heftier style available, by UMI. I’ve added a photo with them both. Is it worth paying 50% more for the stronger version? At first glance they look identical, but on careful inspection:This one weighs 1.7kg, the UMI 2.5kg – mostly in the steel bar itself. The anti-unlock clips for this one are plastic, the UMI’s are metal. The leverage mechanism is different – not clear which would be better for me.The UMI costs about 50% more than this one, at present (do check first). So which to get? I’m perfectly happy with both. I prefer the UMI for pull ups, and this one for lighter work such as leg raises and lying on back pull-ups.They are ideal for leg-raises (preparation for splits etc) as the height can be adjusted easily. As the force is directed outwards, the harder you pull down, the more weight is pressed against the sides. Do not use on doors in plasterboard walls (tap the walls – if sounds hollow, it’s plasterboard). You can see I use it outdoors between two brick walls – that’s fine, though I don’t leave it out in the rain etc, but bring it indoors after exercise. This type, by pushing outwards, can mark paintwork. Also they are dangerous if used as a swing – the downward force is reduced when at an angle, and the bar should release. So they are strictly for downward forces only – pull ups and leg raises. If you can drill a hole in the doorway, get the drill-in type. That’s a better solution for a permanent arrangement. This type is better if you wish to move the bar frequently, or cannot drill into the door frame.

Had a dodgy shoulder for a year. Finally got injection and then started passive hanging everyday on advice of a physio. Have not had a twinge since and no bad backs either. This is a solid piece of kit: easy to install and very hardwearing. I use it multiple times a day and have recommended it to others.

Nice product with good finish. Stable so far. However, the images for the product are quite misleading. The maximum width you would be able to grip at is 46cm from little finger to little finger
adamjs28 –
Easy to fit, but I’d say max weight is more like 85kg than 100+Kg but still works
Thierry –
I was a bit skeptical buying it but in all fairness there was an overwhelming amount of good reviews.. Instructions provided should be clearer tbh but apart from that, still can’t believe how sturdy and solid this bar feels and without any screws!! Amazing!! While it maybe easy(is) to loosen up, I won’t be pulling it up and down like their videos. I’d like to, but feels messy having to do this multiple times a day… So pull ups only it is for now. Recommended for sure!!

I decided to try this bar based on previous reviews and also availability. It arrived promptly and I received an email from the seller to ask me to get in touch with them if I had any issues etc.Was easy enough to assemble, I would say if you don’t have a wide door frame then I can see why some people would say the width/hand placement could be restrictive but it wasn’t an issue for me.I’m 84kg and I have tried this whilst wearing a weight vest (10kg) and it has not budged, very good locking mechanism. I would say it did leave a mark on the frame but I explained this to the company and Anya contacted me immediately to discuss and come to an agreement on a partial refund – you really cannot fault the service levels.Anyway, does what it says on the tin and I’d recommend.
TMcc –
Great that no screwing into the door frame is required.Seems sturdy and I haven’t fallen on my arse yet. It’s a well built piece of kit only let down on the quality stakes by the flimsy Quick release clips that lock the bar in place once extended to the appropriate length. These clips don’t need to be moved once the bar is in situ so should be fine. I would be more concerned if I was moving the bar frequently.
Sulayman –
Very sturdy, held me up just fine but I weigh 60kg. Can put it between the door frame of a standard bedroom door, just outside, doesn’t interfere with the door opening or closing.Installation was surprisingly easy, and it is very stable, I didn’t have to use any screws or anything like that. Just extended it till it hit both sides of the inner door frame, then did the locking mechanisms that they say on the manual. Good for when I might need to move it somewhere else, no holes in the door.Although I did get it on a deal, the original price of £45 that I saw it on is a bit pricey, but if you’re serious about pull ups Id think it’s worth it.
Colm Byrne –
Just have to watch the bars stability when training it can slip if you on’t keep twisting the bar for stability

Really pleased with this – I just wanted a simple goid quality pull up bar that won’t make it unable for me to shut the door or get in the way. Some additional safety advice came via email to support the basic instructions – which I found was very and helpful.
Mia –
We were concerned about the strength of our door frame, it’s so weak our doors don’t even stay on so a typical pull up bar that utilises / hangs onto the actual doors outer frame didn’t feel a viable option for us. So obviously this seemed the ideal solution and we got it. We are glad we did. It’s easy to set up, it requires no screws or anything else other than the actual bar and a person to install, the instructions are simple to follow. It does mention in the instructions to re-check it’s firmly attached every few days.Ours doesn’t budge from the inner door frame , it stays firmly in place, my partner is a little over 13 stone in weight and sometimes the stainless steel bar does flex just minimally but it still feels strong.i have included a photo of my partner using this bar and also a photo of just the bar on our inner door frame. We are very happy with it.

A door pullup bar doesn’t get any better than this, Its pretty sturdy and I’m now using it practically everyday.

I bought this pull up bar months ago and use it daily.I hesitated a long time because I wasn’t sure a product without fixation would be safe and I did not want to damage my property. It turns out that the mechanism is quite safe, the bar is heavy and sturdy and you turn the central axis counterclockwise to fix it (I fixed it on an armed concrete doorframe). Never had any issue with it.Just make sure you review online advice on how to properly grip a bar, to avoid injuries (the padded grips won’t help much here, if you don’t know how to grip)
Mr. L. Newell –
This thing is solidly built and does what it is supposed to do. Bought for my son as a gift and he says that it’s exactly what he wanted. It was installed in a couple of minutes and gets used a couple of times a day without issue.
SL Lancaster –
The pole seems very sturdy in my doorway and was simple to assemble. I probably wouldn’t keep moving it up and down the doorway for different activities as it does leave a slight superficial mark, as you’d expect when it’s pushing so hard against the paintwork. It’s also very easy to grip, which is important for me because I have small hands.
AF Leeds –
I have found it easy to put this up and also been able to remove it if needed. No issues with it feeling like it is going to fall at any point either from the fixing to the door frame or the bar itself which is reassuring however it does create indents into the door frame
Hazel –
Brilliant. A quality product for lockdown home gym. This is really easy to put up and down so you don’t have to have it up all the time. Also it means you can change the height quickly to adapt to your work out pull ups or rows. It is really sturdy. You can get cheaper but this is well worth the money. Also it was delivered next day.
Mr. M. W. Marks –
As a functional product, it’s done the job in the month or so I’ve had it. Having said that, while it attaches to the door frame relatively well, I can feel that the bar is becoming more difficult to tighten. While rotating the bar to tighten the grips to the door frame, it feels like there is a bit of an internal struggle going on and the product probably has another month left in it before something gives way.Additionally, the plastic cover on the main part of the bar looks to have bent and eroded at one end. I’m not sure what’s caused this, but it may have something to do with when the bar is retracted back after use. Sorry, bit of a hard one to explain. To summarise, it appeared and worked like a decent bar for the 2-3 weeks after it arrived, but it certainly doesn’t feel as high quality now. I’d be wary to recommend it.EDIT: I was contacted by a new member of customer service who appears incredibly on the ball. I was offered a free replacement or a refund, based on the details of my review, and can only commend the company. While I didn’t have a wholly positive first experience with the bar, there’s every chance I received a dud. The majority of reviews being positive would suggest this is the case. As I now attend a gym I no longer needed the bar, but it would be a great substitute for anyone looking to build their bodyweight pull-up strength.

Followed the instructions fits perfectly and sound quality

Great product, looked for ages and was recommended this by mates in Army. Can be installed without damaging frames, might leave slight marks on door from blue feet, but holds solid. Do ensure you wind it out fully when installing otherwise it will slip, even if you think it’s tight enough. Does state this in instructions but thought I would reiterate it after mine slipped on initial install, not the products fault, percent mine!
JMB1779 –
It’s very easy to install inside the doorway and it sits safely with no slip or other issues so far.The bar seems solid and it has not felt unsafe during workout. It’s not cheap, but it is a great solution if you don’t want to start drilling or otherwise do damage to the walls or doorways.

A man must remain strong wherever he is!I am a student and it is not always possible to attend the gym, due to the fact that there is a lot of work from the university, so the push-ups were at home, but the horizontal bars used to work with friends on the sports ground so to speak were the horizontal bar manAnd I always wanted to hang on the horizontal bar, pull up, but it didn’t work as I said because I had little time, but I spent some free time on the sport, wrung out and decided to make a horizontal bar at home and bought a horizontal bar in the doorway. And I did not regret with this choice, now I can work at the bar at home, pull up and just hang to stretch the spine.Yes, and you need to engage in sports, it makes you feel good.Because I recommend and you this horizontal bar Umi Door Pull UpOn the bar is very easy to do, well, really if only you have the willpower. A physical form will not be difficult to dial. It develops well back muscles, triceps, biceps. You can even use it in order to just hang and relax your back, immediately this feeling is cool. You can also not only use this horizontal bar as standard, but you can also put it on the floor and try push-ups with it … I’m already catching up on one approach 20 times without any problems) A record 38)). By the way, I also shake the press on the horizontal bar, slowly raising my legs to the horizontal position, for girls I would advise to raise the knees to the chest. The horizontal bar itself with unusual mounts, most likely it is an abgrey of the UMI company. The seller assures that the horizontal bar will not slide off the doorway in any case, if everything is properly fixed. The maximum load on the bar 440 kg, this is something extra natural))) At the moment, everything is great. the Horizontal bar was very pleased. I advise to purchase

Received day after I ordered it (through Prime)10mins unpackaging and having a look at it5 mins installing it (across my loft hatch)Straight into pull-ups!It’s sturdy and does the job without any fuss or the bother of screw fixings. Very happy
Jasmine Tea –
Two great things about this – you don’t screw in any brackets. This give the second great feature – you can easily move it. I bought it for doing pull ups from lying on the floor, leg stretches (as in a barre) and pull ups from vertical. It’s so easy to remove – just lift, and reposition as desired. The way it works is by having strong levers at each end, so that force down is transferred 100% to force sideways – against the door frame or walls (I used it outdoors in a passageway, between a brick wall and the house). It actually extends further than the quoted 92cm but of course, shouldn’t be used for full weight when extended further (useful for leg raises though).

Ottimo prodotto unico difetto ma non a causa del prodotto è che gli spazzi essendo in casa sono molto stretti e quindi l’idea di usarla nella maestà della porta …. La ritengo idonea più per gioco che per vero allenamento
