Not hard it's soft and durable enough to do the exercise.
It depends on you. It took approximately 1 min from my side.
The Pilates method of non-impact exercise is safer than other forms of exercise as it puts the body under less stress.
Not really, But its durable and Non slip.

So far this Pilates exercising ball seems pretty good. It comes deflated in a little card box along with the straw to blow it up with. It’s quick and easy to inflate with it not being all that big. It’s ideal to use as part of a physio exercising routine. The ball doesn’t roll from under you if you are using it to move along the spine. It’s also great for taking to Pilates classes or for Pilates at home. It doesn’t take up much room inflated and even less deflated. It seems pretty robust and will hopefully last a good while, but I will be keeping it away from the cats.

Used for home physiotherapy sessions as suggested by my NHS physiotherapist. It makes you aware of the aches and pains you didn’t know about and should strengthen them.

This Pilates ball is good for getting the most out of your workout. It comes deflated but is easy to blow up. You need to keep it a bit floppy though and not to put too much air in. Great for lower back. Good quality and a fair price.

Brilliant ball for aiding with my leg exercises to strengthen my muscles, vers strong but at the same time soft and spongy, I’m a big lad so put plenty of pressure on the ball and it’s standing up brilliantly.

I bought this on the recommend of my Pilates instructor. It’s really helping me with my exercising and feels sturdy enough for me. I’ve never used one of these before, so wasn’t really sure what to expect, but it seems to be helping to firm up my thighs, which is what I wanted.

Now I’ma hefty chap (polite for fat!) I used to be in better shape than now.I used to do 4 sets of 30 crunches, but I never got a burn as I got by trying to do crunches on this thing! The nature of it being slightly unstable works out all those little muscles you didn’t know you had until you try crunches on this ball, and then it becomes a torture device!I’m not sure I’d trust this with bench pressing but flies should work too!A terrific workout tool! I’m very impressed!
P.J. Denyer –
The kit arrived deflated, with two plugs, a straw to blow it up, and a tool to help pull the plug back out.I found it easy to inflate using the straw, and the plug went straight in. I’ve read other reviews who said they found it difficult to plug before it started to deflate, but don’t worry, in pilates, the ball is not meant to be fully inflated, but soft and slightly deflated so you have a more stable base.Initially, I had one small niggle, in that the plug doesn’t fit flush to the surface of the ball. But you can’t feel it when you use it, and actually this makes it easier to use the tool to pull the plug out, if you want to adjust the pressure or blow it back up. And I do really like that because you have the tool to help get the plug out, you can adjust the pressure, and it’s a doddle to re-inflate when you need to.Good size, bright colour (I got the purple), it’s not too sticky on the outside, soft to hold and easy to handle. Just what I was looking for to help with my Pilates!

Exactly what I needed for pilates

A good quality and sturdy small ball perfect for my needs. I have weak knees and also suffer from back pain, and was advised by my physiotherapist to do some resistance exercises using a small ball.I was sceptical at first since I have only used a big fitness ball before, but surprisingly, it’s actually great for strengthening my core as well as for toning my legs. This beautiful striking purple coloured ball is smooth to touch, easy to clean and very firm. It can withstand my weight (I’m not a skinny lady!) for a long time without any signs of deflation. Even though I can use the supplied tube to inflate the ball, I use a ball pump instead as it’s easier and faster. It needs to be under-inflated in use, so it should not be pumped too hard.Priced at £5.99 (at the time of writing), seems like a fair price to pay for a good quality and sturdy small ball.In short, I’m very pleased with this ball and it’s an easy recommendation from me.
foxcylady –
Well priced, well made, bright, easy to inflate and does as exactly what it promises.Bright purple and soft and easy to use….mine had just died and when this appeared on my vine I was most excited. This is a another level compared to my very old one which cost somewhat more than this.Great for resistance training, balance and relaxation…..a great addition to your routine whatever you might do.

mrs susan gallacher –
easy to inflat and is working excellent to improve the core of my stomache its fantastic and easy to use
Mike Rowland –
Works absolutely fine for use during pilates classes. Note that it won’t take up a perfectly spherical shape unless inflated quite hard. For pilates a lower pressure is preferred – and the ball remains a wonky shape. though this is not a problem.
Bucks –
Inflating can be a problem as that as soon as you remove the straw; the ball starts to deflate. Hence only 3 stars, since then worked out what works. Good value and comfortable between to use
